The Metadata Template page allows you to choose a metadata template with pre-determined required fields that match best with your workflow. You can reach this page by selecting 'Add Metadata' in the 'Manage' Modal after an upload.
There are different templates you can choose from to enter metadata. The "All Metadata" Template does not have any required fields while the other templates each have specific metadata requirements.

All Metadata: No required fields.
Crackle Content Operations: Asset Type, Title, Classification, Status
Asset Management: Asset Type, Title, Classification, Status
EMEA TV Productions: Asset Type, Title, Classification, Status
Media Relations: Asset Type, Title, Classification, Status, Usage Restrictions
SPT Non-title Off-air: Asset Type, Classification, Status
SPT Photo: Title, Classification
In the following example, we will walk through editing metadata with the "All Metadata" Template.
Select the "All Metadata" Template from the Metadata Template page. This template does not have any required fields.
The Metadata tagging page will open. Here you will find all metadata fields.
Open the 'Asset Type' dropdown menu to select the asset type.
Repeat the process for 'Asset sub-type' if applicable.
To tag the assets with a title(s) begin by typing the title in the search box, a list of results will drop down. Select the title to apply it.
If you wish to add specific restrictions and limitations of assets, you can do so in the 'Usage Restriction' field.

Fill in the other fields as needed. Once you have finished adding metadata, click 'Apply' to tag the assets with the specified metadata.
Metadata can be edited on a specific asset in the respective asset's details page.
Scroll down or click the 'Metadata' tab below the previewer. All fields in the chosen template should now be editable.
Once you have made all changes you would like to make, click 'Apply' at the bottom right corner and your changes will be saved.
Batch Metadata Update in the Cart
Once you have finished updating metadata, click 'Apply' to confirm your tag of the assets with the specified metadata.
A confirmation modal will flash to confirm your metadata changes have been applied.
Click ‘Done’ to close out of the metadata update page. If you wish to select more assets to batch metadata change again, you may repeat the above steps.
Favorite templates allows you to select a metadata template to dock at the top of the metadata management page. Runner will remember your favorite template(s) until you unfavorite them. This is particularly useful for when you need quick access to a frequently used metadata template.

A flash will confirm that the template was made a favorite template and it will appear at the top of the page.
