Q: What is Aspera Connect?

Aspera Connect is a small add-on that accelerates your file transfers when uploading to or downloading from Runner. If you don’t already have it, you can download and install it from: http://downloads.asperasoft.com/connect2/


Q: Why does the Upload Wizard window stay open after clicking ‘Upload Now’?

We want to make sure your upload request has successfully initiated. The window will automatically close when the upload is complete.


Q: I got an email saying my file couldn’t be uploaded to Runner. What’s that about?

We’ve been trying to process the file for over 24 hours but to no avail. It’s possible that the file didn’t transfer completely, and if you don’t see a file size next to the file in Runner, you’ll have to re-upload the file again. Otherwise, the file is in our repository, but something didn’t complete as part of the upload process. Contact the Runner team and we can look into this for you.

Q: What are the files that aren’t allowed in Runner?

Security is of the utmost importance to us, we don’t allow the following to be uploaded to Runner. Batch files, COM files, Executable files, HTML files, JavaScript files, JavaServer Pages, PHP files, Python files, Ruby files, SWF files, and VBScript files are not allowed in Runner.
