Copy Assets

Copying an asset to another folder creates a linked copy of the asset in the new folder you select. Any metadata changed on one copy is applied to all other copies. This is how one asset may live in multiple folders.


Copy Single Asset to Folders

Step 1

Locate the asset you would like to copy to other folders. This can be done from folders or from search.

Tip: You can also select assets you would like to copy from grid view Gridviewicon.png and hybrid view Hybridviewicon.png for more options.

Select ‘Copy to Folders’ from the Coral context menu.png icon.

Step 3

Using theBubble empty 2.pngicon, select the folders you would like to copy to. TheBubble checked 2.pngicon indicates a successful selection. TheBubble check gray.png icon indicates that the asset already exists in that folder. You can expand folders using the Folder expand.png icon or collapse folders using the Folder collapse.png icon.

Pencil.jpg Note: A lighter shaded folder icon such as Folder blocked.png indicates you do not have permission to copy an asset to that folder.

Step 4

After selecting all the folders you would like to copy the asset to, click ‘Confirm’. You will now find the asset in the folders you selected.

Copy Multiple Assets to Folders

Step 1

Locate the assets you would like to copy to other folders. Copying multiple assets can be done from folder list view only. Using theBubble empty 2.pngicon, select the assets you would like to copy.

Select ‘Copy to Folders’ from the Coral context menu.png icon at the top right corner of the page.

Step 3

Using theBubble empty 2.pngicon, select the folders you would like to copy to. TheBubble checked 2.pngicon indicates a successful selection. TheBubble check gray.png icon indicates that the asset already exists in that folder. You can expand folders using the Folder expand.png icon or collapse folders using the Folder collapse.png icon.

Pencil.jpg Note: A lighter shaded folder icon such as Folder blocked.png indicates you do not have permission to copy an asset to that folder.

Step 4

After selecting all the folders you would like to copy the assets to, click ‘Confirm’. You will now find the assets in the folders you selected.

Using Search to Copy Assets to Folders

Step 1

Run your search and select the assets you would like to copy.

Tip: You can also select assets you would like to copy from Grid View as well by clicking Grid view context.png for more options.

Select ‘Copy to Folders’ from the Coral context menu.png icon.

Locate the asset in cart that you would like to copy to other folders. This can also be done from folders and search.

Step 4
